Velocity Accelerator

About the project

The Objective: Create social entertainment that matched Velocity’s brand as the tech-hub of Canada.

The Result: Guests were extremely satisfied, sharing the experience on social media over 100 times.

The client, Mirage VR, was invited to provide entertainment at Canada’s biggest tech accelerator, Velocity. Mirage VR already had a basic prototype that was working for single player. However, they needed everything ready for production, which included the following: more game content, multiplayer support, an operation software, as well as a client booking system.

With only 4 months to complete the project, we quickly got to work. For the first month, our engineers deep-dove into learning Mirage VR’s high-end motion capturing hardware and the code for their game prototype. Our designers and artist, on the other hand, swiftly worked with Mirage VR to determine the exact requirements for the new features needed. For the 2nd and 3rd month, we worked tirelessly to build the features needed.

Finally, in the last month, we QA’d the product and tweaked it to make sure it was exactly what Mirage VR wanted. During the event, we had an engineer on-site to make sure there were no technical problems.

The event turned out to be an amazing success, as guests shared the experience on social media over 100 times.
